About the role
On behalf of our client, an ex- big hit start up leader and innovator in the fast-growing online workplace market, we are currently looking for a self- driven PHP Software Engineer, to join its software development team.
Role Summary
The ideal candidate should have strong technical background and a “get-things-done” attitude. You must be self-driven, “outside of the box” thinker and be passionate about managing projects from scratch as you will be part of a Core Team, building technology to accelerate the fastest growing product that is changing the delivery landscape. Good communication skills and ability to adjust are a must and a good sense of humour a bonus!
Key Accountabilities
- Operating and scaling large-scale distributed systems in practice (including application security, monitoring and managing incidents)
- Developing, implementing and testing new features
- Implement any necessary changes to the company’s website
- Performing site maintenance as needed, detecting and correcting occasional errors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience and strong knowledge of pure PHP
- Be able to support projects from scratch
- Hold BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to work within a team
- Agile methodologies experience
- Strong algorithm
Strong Pluses
- Knowledge of NodeJS
- Knowledge of Golang
- Strong coding skills within an Agile environment (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, React, ViewJS
- Comfort in TDD and other testing practices
- Experience with containerization and job scheduling technologies
- Contributed in open-source projects
