On behalf of our client, an award winning company that develops software applications for the maritime industry, we are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join its software development team in Larnaka, Cyprus.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will work closely with the company’s senior team to leverage their broad range of knowledge and skills in Shipping to design and develop a wide range of vital software solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Key member of the R&D team creating and supporting the platform of software products & services.
• Design & build innovative solutions that can solve complex problems in a dynamic environment.              
• Complete all phases of Systems Development Life Cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support.
• Manage techniques that support ongoing quality improvements and enable new product development
• Design, test & integrate new software products to control and/or support related products.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Background in developing complex solutions based on the .NET platform.
• 3-4 years minimum development experience.
• Solid experience with C#, ASP.NET/MVC.
• Solid Experience with MS SQL Server.
• Fluency in English
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Experience developing data processing components
• Experience with JSON and XML
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and object oriented design.
• Front End development experience.
• Development and deployment experience of web services including WCF.
