The ideal candidate will join the international team of engineers, educators, re-thinking education from the ground up. You will help the team to excel and to meet the ever increasing demand and produce high quality back-end code in Python. • Drive technology initiatives to improve the scalability, resilience, and performance throughout our platform
• You will develop back-end code that is testable, robust and designed to survive multiple iterations of the product.
• Collaboratively work with talented engineers, data scientists, product managers and UX designers to deliver quality software features to our users
• Building and working with RESTful APIs, database design and optimization
• Work with Product and Management to translate product requirements into clear technical design specifications
• Translate complex functional/business requirements into simple applications
• Write high-quality, testable and performant code for the back-end

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in software development
• Experience with Python and related web frameworks
• Experience with Graph databases and GraphQL
• Experience with high-availability deployments
• Machine Learning applications would be considered a plus
• Working experience with Java, Scala or C++ would be nice to have
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
