On behalf of our client, a Cloud services provider over the globe, we are currently looking for a Java Developer to join its software development team in Gdańsk, Poland.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will ensure performance in terms of quality and security while building a product that delivers an awesome user experience. You must be passionate about writing great software, solving difficult problems and enjoy learning about new technologies.

Key Accountabilities

• Engage with other developers, front-end designers, product managers, and performance engineers.
• Liaise with technical leads and architects to promote great software design and quality.
• Develop new features front-end to back-end as part of a team.
• Point out issues with the existing architecture and code, and clean it up.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Java
• Deep architectural understanding of web applications
• Good knowledge in some back-end technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, Lucene, SQL
• Excellent communication skills with fluent English (both spoken and written)
• Knowledge of some of the standard front-end technologies such as CSS, JavaScript (we use JQuery), REST and JSON
