On behalf of our client, an international company, leader in ticket issuing and management solutions, we are currently looking for a self-motivated and high-reliable Data Scientist to join its experienced and skilled team of professionals based in Athens.

You will be responsible to support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. You have to be adept at using large data sets to build models and to test the effectiveness of different approaches. You will have exposure in a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. You will be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and teams. Additionally, you will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve outcomes. 

• Implement, verify and analyze machine learning models for predicting sales based on sales history.
• Use of mining data to investigate marketing insights and customer segmentation
• Execute Reports and Operational Metrics
• Extending the company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

• At least 1+ years of professional/research experience in a similar position
• BS/BA degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or any other relevant field
• Experience using R (dplyr, data.table, stringr libraries)
• Exposure in SQL
• Exposure in Python to manipulate data
• Experience with data visualization tools
