About the role
On behalf of our client, the leading Online Betting and Gaming Company in Greece, we are looking for an aspirated Backend Software Engineer (Elixir) to join their high-skilled technology team and assist them to advance their successful and innovative betting platform.
Role Summary
The ideal candidate will join a high-skilled engineering team which creates the core sportsbook platform of the company. You will help the team to excel and to meet the ever increasing demand and produce high quality back-end code in Elixir. You must be visionary, team-player and passionate about developing the next generation of company products and services!
Key Accountabilities
- Participate in the back-end creation, design, implementation and operation of the core sportsbook platform
- Write clean, scalable code using Elixir programming language
- Review, revise, update, refactor and debug code
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer with deep involvement in the Software Development Life Cycle
- Analytical thinking and the ability to methodically break down complex problems and produce quality, working code with little to no technical supervision
- Experience programming in a functional language or using functional paradigms within OO languages (either from personal projects or professionally) would be an asset
- Previous on-the-job experience with a functional language would be an asset
- You understand and follow the best practices in writing maintainable and extensible code
- You believe in automated tests and taking ownership over the quality of your code
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
