On behalf of our client, a world’s leading Telecom Company with presence in more than 20 countries, we are currently looking for an Engineering Programme Manager to join its super talented team in Bucharest.

Role Summary

You will efficiently & effectively deliver programmes, projects and BAU activities (mainly associated with VF Group entities, seldom with Local Markets OpCos) within the allotted tolerances and given targets.

Key Accountabilities

• Contribute to the preparation of Investment Plans and Pipeline
• End to end ownership of sub-portfolio (Internet and/or Security and/or Global IP, others) and its successful delivery on targets, to time, quality, budget and ultimately business outcomes
• Management and development of a virtual team of Project Managers. Instil results’ driven mind-sets, proactive problem solving and supportive approach
• Endorse Governance; upheld Programme/Project Management Assurance. Advocate efficiency, simplicity and speed across virtual team and beyond.
• Nourish/enhance synergies with other teams: Delivery, Deployment, Operations, Capacity Planning, Central Operational Planning and Finance
• Comply/enforce adherence to preparation/updating/distribution of various Reports, Databases and Dashboards
• Meet/better CAPEX/OPEX Spend& Savings targets
• Present/discuss CAPEX/OPEX Spend &Saving Profile, BRAG, RAID and PMTool reports with Lead, Head and others teams

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Programme Management qualifications, ideally Managing Successful programme (MSP)
• Project Management qualifications, ideally PMP and/or Prince 2
• Proven Track Record in the Telecoms industry around Vendor management/ contract management/ service delivery
• Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT
• High level knowledge of Transmission, IP and MSP technologies
• High level knowledge of associated main vendors’ products:  Ciena, Infinera, Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper
• High level knowledge of Cloud & Hosting and Housing & Colocations Datacentres services
• Aquatinted with international Logistics and Trade Control
• Aquatinted with Telcos operating licensing and regulations
• Familiar with major global OLOs and global Carriers
• Familiar with commercial negotiations and legal contracts
• Advanced/proficiency in MS-Excel
• Advanced in Share Point
